As traditional books disappear from our lives, it seems more and more important to pay attention to the form. This exhibition focuses on the book as art and the many forms and approaches it can take. This is a curated invitational artist book exhibition at artspace in Richmond, Virginia. Artists Ginna Cullen and Michael Pierce have curated the show with a desire to show the range and scope of bookarts going on today. All types of artist books are represented in this exhibition – in many media, both unique or limited edition. Where possible we wanted this to be an interactive/hands-on exhibition, so visitors will be able to handle some of the books.
